Officers responding to a burglary alarm stopped Trumbull resident Maxwell Haslam at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, as he was walking away from the scene of an alleged burglary at the Fatty Patty restaurant on Daniels Farm Road.

Police said that Haslam was stopped while carrying two shopping bags that contained burglary tools and various items of clothing. When questioned, officers said that they were able to connect Haslam to the burglary at the restaurant and he implicated himself in a second burglary that took place in May.

While canvassing the area, police said that officers found evidence of a second burglary that Haslam allegedly committed in a nearby building at the Trumbull Center business district at Firgeleski Chiropractic Center.

Haslam was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief and larceny. He is currently being held on $15,000 bond and is due back in court on Thursday, July 26. Police said that more charges are expected as the investigation into Haslam continues.
